Listening to Imagine, seeing the grey sky and enjoying this cold weather after a midnight rain seems to be nice for me today…
My memory of John is filled with his music, for the first time “Imagine” really touched my feeling with its “dreaming” melody, for the first time “Mother” rings a bell in my heart for John’s love of his father and his mother. It would be my mistake if I don’t mention “Love”- the simple but yet true definition of Love- and “Jealous guy” here. These songs would never be out of my favourite list…
My momery of John is filled with the RFC’s rockshows in Vietnam (Rock Fan Club, FYI) in December every year when people gather and sing out loud “Don’t let me down, don’t let me down” or “Let it be…”. It’s used to happen nearly 4 years ago, and at that time, the songs seemed to be nicer than ever before… The great feeling of singing together these times yet still in my mind… Hmm, another mistake if I forget to write here about my sister, who was there with me and even sang louder than me 😀
Lastly, (as i have to work now), another part of my memory is of my old cassette tapes which I used to record John’s songs from my favourite radio program NCKBH. That time, CD is likely expensive for me to buy… “Sharing is good” and it’s true that sharing these tapes and some thoughts about John’s music (or Beatles) with one of my close friends made these tapes become my “precious” possessions… Yet, it seemed to be so long ago 🙂
That’s it… If you love John’s music, give yourself a break today to enjoy Imagine again…
Yes, we are all the dreamers…
Imagine
Imagine there’s no heaven,
It’s easy if you try,
No hell below us,
Above us only sky,
Imagine all the people
living for today…Imagine there’s no countries,
It isn’t hard to do,
Nothing to kill or die for,
No religion too,
Imagine all the people
living life in peace…Imagine no possesions,
I wonder if you can,
No need for greed or hunger,
A brotherhood of man,
Imagine all the people
sharing all the world…You may say I’m a dreamer,
but Im not the only one,
I hope some day you’ll join us,
And the world will live as one…
