I went to Blu Jaz Cafe last Friday (well, yesterday). It is the second time I go to such a place in Singapore during my 6 years here – well, not to mention that the first time was last last Friday at some Jazz bar near Singapore river :”>.
Back to Blu Jaz. It is a nice place, open environment with no air-cond (and it’s not hot at all), nice food and drinks; last but not least, acceptable prices :D. But the thing that impresses me most was the trio band (shown in the photo) playing there last night. They all played very well, but I like the bassist (the man in the middle) the most. The sound of his guitar and the saxophone were blended, and his style fills with passion to the notes he plays. “Sadly” that for all the songs they played, I only know “She’s leaving home” (Beatles) :”>
Along the time there, suddenly feel missing my sisters… a bit :D. We used to hang out at these kind of places (so called “di uong cafe ho^ng ma`y”) every time I went back home 🙂
Anyway, if you like jazz and have time, give this a try 🙂
